Cleansers: Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser & Tammy Fender Purifying Cleansing Gel

This is an old post I had sitting in my drafts, but for some reason never finished...apologies for that!! I think I bought these last year sometime? Maybe I put them off because I wasn’t too impressed with either of them. Anyway...here are my thoughts!

Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser - This was too fragranced for me - not that it was a strong frangrance but I felt it had too much of a fake/chemical smell - not the clean yogurt scent I was expecting. I really love the idea of yougurt being used in skincare products...sounds nourishing while at the same time you get a bit of the acid action to help keep things clean & soft. But this one has some pretty hearty foaming action and dried my skin out a little too much. Definitely not the nourishment I was looking for. It also took more than one application to completely get rid of my oily bits, and it stung my eyes. The good news is it did make my skin soft even though it felt dry, which sounds odd I know!!

I ended up giving this to my Niece. She loves it, and prefers it to the Youth To The People Age Defying Cleanser. She loved that one for awhile, but said eventually it felt like it her skin would dry out a little every once in awhile. But this Korres Yogurt one doesn’t dry her out at all. She also said,

Yeah! I really love the smell, because some face washes smell a little like medicine and I've noticed that those dry my skin out more. It really helps control the oil around my t zone, too, which I've always had issues with. So I've noticed a slight difference in that. But also my face just feels really fresh afterwards.

So there you have it! Two people with 2 different opinions ha ha!

Tammy Fender Purifying Cleansing Gel - I was entirely disappointed in this one, mainly because it gets some pretty phenomenal reviews online. It smelled like spearmint and hay, which I didn’t care for, and had a really runny texture that confused me (see picture below). It seemed no matter how much or how little I used the results were the same...just kind of blah. I didn’t feel my skin was clean - it always left a lot of residue and I ended up with dry skin. I didn’t stick with this one for very long & ended up using the rest on my body.

Have you tried either one of these cleansers? What was your experience with them?
