I'm a lady who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

I've been on a Chanel kick lately! Thought I'd share some thoughts on new stuff, new-to-me stuff, PAN and a repurchase...

It's PAN, people...PAAAAAAN!!! So, so, so exciting!!! But also a little scary because it wasn't until the exact moment of PAN that I realized just how much I love this powder! Not sure why I haven't written about it until now - well, ok, actually I do...had planned at some point to do a collective powder review of all the powders in my collection and just haven't gotten around to it. Whoops. Anyway.

But back to the Les Beiges powder!! I love this stuff! It's been my Old Faithful, my rock. It's been what I always come back to even after trying and loving other powders. Why?! Because I can count on it to always look good...natural, with that 'Healthy Glow' that is hard to describe (somewhere between natural matte and luminous?) - you just have to see it for yourself. It never looks powdery, or like it's too much. And I had to repurchase Les Beiges because I didn't want to be without it!!

p.s. The little sad face is because this spot on the product has plagued me since day 1. I try to scrape it off every now and again, but it never goes away no matter how much I use and no matter how far down I go. Weird. Hopefully the next one won't be like that!!

This was from Summer 2015 (as part of a bigger Les Beiges collection release), and I always wanted it but never was able to hit the purchase button until all of a sudden it was OOS on Nordstrom. Until then I had it in my 'saved for later' list...you know...just in case! Anyway, of course I suddenly HAD TO HAVE IT. Like, right NOW. So I sent Bronzer Bunny a text to see if her store had it (did you know she works in the Nordstrom beauty department?!!! Contact her and she can find what you want!!).

Because of the pink, I was afraid this would pull the red right out of my skin, but surprisingly it doesn't!! Well ok, I have to use a light hand, but it still works and is like a slightly more glowy version of the regular Les Beiges powder. So I use it as a finishing powder and have really been enjoying it.

The older version of this was SPF 30 and I don't think there were as many colors (Macy's online still has the older version)? Now there are several, as you can see in the video HERE, though it looks like only 2 colors are out at the moment (at least that I can find online in the US).

I never tried the older version, but this new version has a fairly high physical sunscreen content for a 'makeup base' - 6.7% titanium dioxide, 9.5% zinc oxide (and 4% octinoxate chemical). I thought it would be nice to have the higher physical sunscreen content, but I ended up with the same problem that I have with many other sunscreens that are all/mostly physical - they soak up too much foundation!!

This made any foundation I tried over it look heavier than it actually was, and it completely ruined any amount of glow or luminosity. All my foundations looked rather flat and unexciting or natural. I don't feel it did much for foundation longevity or wear throughout the day.

Both had a strong white cast at first. That subsided pretty quickly once rubbed in a little, but I'm not sure how that would look on darker skin tones? Mimosa is supposed to disguise redness - which it did seem to do a bit, but I'm not sure if that's actually due to the yellow tint or the residual white cast. Rosee is meant to be brightening, which I didn't find to be the case at all.

Overall I was very disappointed with these. The only way I would use these again would be to use them as JUST a sunscreen when I'm on the beach or something. Maybe.

I've wanted to try this forever, mainly due to the fact that Vivianna Does Makeup used to talk about it all the time in her videos. I finally broke down this year because I'm almost finished my my Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation!!

I love this stuff, and can't believe I waited this long to try it!!! It's lightweight, has a lovely natural finish (similar to the Les Beiges powder on me) and I don't need to blend it out with a brush. It also layers nicely, and I can build it to a solid medium coverage. May I mention that the packaging is super travel friendly - big bonus! It's just a really easy foundation that's quick and quite effortless. SO GOOD!!

Have you tried any of these Chanel products? What are your thoughts?
