I'm a lady who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

On Instagram, I posted the picture above of the new RMS brushes.  The swirly one on the left is the RMS Skin2Skin Foundation Brush $38, and the one on the right is the RMS Skin2Skin Cheek Brush $34 (made to be used with their Lip2Cheek pots).

The foundation brush has the swirly pattern with varying lengths of bristles, and is more dense on the bottom than the top. All this is supposed to mimic 'pressing color into the skin rather than laying on top of the face'. This brush is way too dense, which wouldn't be bad except that the bristles are also shorter which means that overall the bristles don't have much give and aren't gentle on the skin. I'd almost go so far as to say it's verging on hard? Not having much give also means that I find it very difficult to blend product out evenly (though it worked a little better with stick foundation than liquid). I guess mainly I don't feel this brush has much finesse, and is quite far from what the RMS site says it's supposed to do and the type of application it's supposed to mimic.

However, I am quite loving the Skin2Skin Cheek Brush!!! I guess this is a stippling brush, though the end bristles (the ones that stick out from the main part of the brush) are much softer than the 2 Sephora stippling brushes I've tried. The description says the brush won't disturb foundation while applying the Lip2Cheek product, and I certainly found that to be true!! I've used it with the one RMS Lip2Cheek I have as well as the Le Metier Creme Fresh Tint and application is quicker than using my fingers and blends almost as well (every once in awhile I blend some edges with my fingers). Definite thumbs up on this brush :-)
