I'm a lady who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

I'm a Stewardess who prefers quiet spaces and places, but I could talk all beauty all the time! Please enjoy your visit!

Swatched: Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duos in #206 & #207

I bought the Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duo in 206 with my first Net-A-Porter order (HERE), as part of the site's collaboration with Glossybox. The Net-A-Porter Glossybox is still available, if you are interested. It's a great deal at $40 since the duo alone is $42 - the box comes with 3 full size products :-)

I was so happy with the colors and formula in the first Duo that I jumped at the chance to buy another one during The Makeup Show when it was in Chicago. Plus, with a discount I couldn't resist! Bronzer Bunny bought the same Duo, #207, and showed it in her #14daysofmakeup Challenge Recap

Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duos in #206 & #207

Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duos come in the signature Kevyn Aucoin packaging. A pouch is included, but no applicator. These are nice and slim, leaning on the smaller side which makes them a good option for travel - I can carry both without taking up too much space.

Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duos in #206 (R) & #207 (L)

In the above pic, #206 is on the right and #207 is on the left. Before getting #206, I never really thought about getting shadow in any shade of blue and was quite skeptical. As a result it took me a really, really long time to even touch the Duo let alone wear it ha ha!

The lighter shade on the left is the softest to the touch of all the colors in the 2 Duos, and likewise this navy/dark blue shade is the hardest to the touch of all the colors in the 2 Duos. The lighter color is soft, silky and somewhat creamy. The navy/dark blue is harder (and hardest of the colors in both Duos), though still has a silky quality to it. Despite the difference in texture to the touch, during application with brushes I find both colors to be very easy to apply and blend.

The lighter color definitely qualifies as a shimmer shade, yet it sheers out well for a soft veil of shimmer vs. a full on shimmer-ific look. There is shimmer in the navy/dark blue shade too, but it's much less noticeable and more so helps it to not look flat. The navy/dark blue also doesn't scream blue, and sometimes it's hard to tell what color it is. The #206 Duo is surprisingly versatile with what else I can pair it with, and I've been having fun experimenting!!

The lighter color here is softer and more silky to the touch (though I'm not quite it's got the slight creamy quality like the lighter shade in #206), whereas the darker color is a little bit harder yet not quite as hard as the navy/dark blue in #206. Same thing as the other Duo though...this one applies very smoothly and blends as well as any other of my favorite shadows! The colors pretty much speak for themselves as a great neutral pairing!

Hopefully between the 3 pictures you can tell how the navy/dark blue in #206 can change depending on the light. I think both of these are beautiful color combos that are easy to apply - I'm happy to have them in my stash!

Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duo #206 available as part of the Net-A-Porter Glossybox for $40, HERE. Otherwise you can purchase either Duo for $42 @ Nordstrom, Beauty.com and SpaceNK
