I'm a lady who loves her beauty products! No makeup makeup is my game & pretty packaging gets me every time, though I'm willing to forgive that with skincare (but only if the product is effective!).

The Hit List II

I wrote my first The Hit List post last Summer as a way to write quick reviews of things I've been loving lately and haven't had the opportunity to write individual reviews for (you can check it out HERE). I also revisited those items in a follow up post (HERE). Though I vowed to come up with a different name since there are many Hit Lists out there, I haven't been able to come up with anything creative so the name will stand ha ha!!

Onto it...here are 5 things I've been absolutely loving lately...

***All items purchased by me. Affiliate Links included.***

Salux Cloth

Armani Cheek Fabric in 507

Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector in 103

Louise Young Super Foundation Brush LY34

Marc Jacobs The Conceal - Full Cover Correcting Brush No. 14

...mini reviews below...

Salux Cloth

This is a Japanese, scrubby, towel-like thing to use in the shower or tub. I've heard about it forever on the MakeupAlley Skincare board, and finally decided to order some from Amazon. It's beyond a wash cloth, loofah or anything else I've tried. It's super scrubby yet not uncomfortable, and holds a lather like nobody's business with a lot less body wash than I usually use. It's meant to exfoliate and help boost circulation, and it certainly does both very well...so well that my Husband wanted one and now doesn't take a shower without it! Oh, and this dries very quickly, and is instantly dry if you wring it out with a towel!

I bought ours from Amazon @ 3 for $13.55 or they are $6-7 individually.

Armani Cheek Fabric in 507

I completely fell for Armani's new powder blush formulation the first time I tried it. Soft, but not too powdery...creamy, dreamy and applies and blends in like it was meant for my cheeks. And I love this color!! It's bright but not BAM here I am, and because it blends so well I can apply a very soft wash of color or build it up to my heart's content. I absolutely want to try more colors, and for the moment it's very difficult to decide if this or Burberry's blush formula holds Holy Grail status.

This color does have a faint hint of shimmer, but I don't find it translates once on my cheeks. It's the type of subtle shimmer that contributes to it looking so natural on the cheeks. Swatches below.

Outside sunlight.

Outside shade.

Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector in 103

This is lightweight and most importantly does not crease even with my heavy eye cream!! It gives me just enough coverage to help disguise slight puffiness and slight discoloration due to lack of sleep, and so far seems to be just the under eye concealer I've been looking for. I have a feeling this won't hide more significant dark circles and heavy bags, but if you are in the market for something to help with minor issues it's worth checking out. I find it blends in better with the Marc Jacobs The Conceal brush (keep scrolling) - even more so than with my fingers :-)

Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector, $30 @ Nordstrom, Saks, Macy's, Bergdorf Goodman, Sephora

Louise Young Super Foundation Brush LY34

This is one of those total Blogger influenced purchase, namely Vivianna Does Makeup. She's used and talked about it in many videos - I couldn't stand it any longer and wanted to find out why she thinks it's so great!

As you can tell from the picture above, it's much longer than other foundation brushes...the ones pictured above are the Wayne Goss 01 and Tom Ford 02 Cream Foundation Brush. Because it's longer it's also a bit floppy, but that makes it easier to swish around and apply foundation quickly. This is also very dense and quite soft to the touch, which makes it blend with hardly any visible brush strokes unless you have too much foundation you are trying to spread. Seriously, this brush is super duper speedy - I was shocked the first few times I tried it!! I've only tried this with liquid foundation though, so I'm not sure how it would work with cream - anyone tried that combo yet? Regardless, I'd have to agree with Vivianna...this is fantastic brush!

Marc Jacobs The Conceal - Full cover Correcting Brush No. 14

Aaaaah, yes...another influenced purchase...this time from hapagurl8 on YouTube. I saw her haul video (HERE), and immediately put it into my Sephora online cart!! This brush is sooooo stinkin' soft and makes applying the Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector a breeze. The angled shape fits perfectly into the under eye area, and did I mention how soft this brush feels?? Bronzer Bunny mentioned she heard it is good for shadow application as well - I haven't tested that out yet, but if it works I'll definitely look into getting another one just for shadows!

Marc Jacobs The Conceal - Full cover Correcting Brush No. 14, $30 @ Sephora

Comparison pics below - I don't have another eye concealer specific brush, so picked some other smaller brushes to illustrate shape and density...

I'm really excited about all of these items, and am so happy to add them to my collection of goodies!!! Hopefully I won't change my mind about anything, but if I do I'll follow up in a Revisited post :-)
